Resort locations like Sharm El Sheik tend to cater to individual business travelers or couples on a romantic honeymoon vacation. Families are often left out in the cold since many resort owners imagine them going to Disney World or to some other clichéd destination. One resort in Sharm El Sheik that does a much better job appealing to families than its competition is the Baron Resort. Rest assured, this is a four star resort, they just do a good job of leaving the attitude and pretension to their competition. The Baron Resort offers a wide range of activities and facilities that are sure to make any family vacation a memorable one.

Unlike its competition, the Baron Resort’s décor is far more simple and straight forward. You’ll notice guest rooms that use earth tones and comfortable chairs, and cozy beds and styles instead of the voluptuous and over the top styles you see elsewhere. The hotel offers 356 rooms, all with excellent views. Many rooms feature hardwood floors, which is quite rare, but makes sense if you are going to have little ones around. Every room comes with air conditioning, desks, coffee tables and many other additional amenities that are only a phone call away.

One of the biggest attractions for families here is the complimentary breakfast that every guest receives. While Sharm El Sheik will never be confused with a budget destination, any chance a large family can get to save money is welcome. There are five unique dining options available for lunch and dinner here. The Sinai Restaurant is the flagship eatery here and offers a buffet style dinner that has dozens of different choices available to all its guests. Many of the other dining options, including the Italian themed Bella Vista restaurant and the Oasis Pool restaurant are casual and are priced accordingly.

The Baron is likely best known for its gigantic swimming pool that beacons both kids and adults to its gentle shores. There are swimming lessons for the kids and a lifeguard on duty around the clock. There are plenty of activities available for kids, including a full babysitting service just in case mom and dad want some time for themselves. There is also a small business center that has everything you need to get that last bit of work done before you can relax and enjoy your vacation.
